This article actually distorts and goes a bit beyond what Favre actually said, but it interests me a good bit anyway. Ive had multiple concussions in my life, going back to when I was barely two years old. A couple were pretty serious, one that came along with a fractured skull almost killed me. A few were treated and some were not. At the same time, by most standards, Ive always had a pretty extraordinarily good memory. In the last several years I have noticed a few lapses in my memory. Either things I used to remember but now do not, or blank spots......events or periods I dont seem to remember much at all. I have, and still do, attribute it mostly to time, natural erosion and the overall impact of the aging process........but now Im less sure. This issue gets a lot of attention these days because of the NFL, but I think it goes beyond that at least somewhat. Along with having to deal with increasingly becoming An old man in a dry month now I have to think about whether I have absorbed a few too many blows to the head. Probably have.
