This article written by Wesley Kotze is (Our Grandson) A Word Relevant for Today and that it is written by a young man makes one at least feel there are young people out there who are walking near to God and hearing the heart of God Secularization is a word that i have come to know and understand by observing our generation of today. I would like to share a message that GOD has bestowed on me and opened my eyes to. A cultural revolution has taken place and our generation of today lack epistemology in deep spiritual things instead they have a hunger for trivial things that know the price of everything but the value of nothing. If you had a conversation with a teenager of today he/she will be able to tell you the exact price of the latest iphone or Range Rover and can keep you entained for hours explaining the ins and the outs of the latest technology. That brings me to the heading of this conversation. Securalization what does that mean?? In political terms, secularism is a movement towards the seperation of religion and government. On a social level where does that leave our generation, i will tell you it leaves them taking the precious gift of life into their own hands making decisions in in life based on their own moral reasoning. Which brings me to a statement made by Adolf Hitler i want to raise a generation devoid of a conscience, imperious, relentless and cruel. Devoid of a conscience....... Let that sink in for a while. What would life be like if there was no more shame?? If the moral law was defined as anything goes. There are three temptations that will always be part of everyday life the lust of the eyes the lust of the flesh and the pride of life. And our generation are ingesting all three Of those without even knowing. Jesus said in Matthew 6:22 THE EYE IS THE LAMP OF THE BODY. IF YOUR EYES ARE HEALTHY, YOUR WHOLE BODY WILL BE FULL OF LIGHT And in Luke 11:34 it is mentioned again. Our generation is made to believe to see with our eyes devoid of a conscience and not for which it is intended to see through the eye with our conscience. If we want to make a change in the lives of the up an coming leaders of today we need to restore that hunger for deep and spiritual things,things that give life and it all comes down to one verse JOHN 14:6. JESUS ANSWERED I AM THE WAY AND THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE. NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME Let us restore these words in our children, friends and loved ones lives and speak life into their lives and move back to spiritual things and make the change that we can.
