This book, the first to collect the poster art of John Alvin, is outstanding. SO much amazing artwork, much of it never seen before! And yet I cant help feel a stab of disappointment that one of my favorites, HOOK, is not in any way represented. I had dearly hoped to see a better-quality representation of the unused concept poster that can be glimpsed on his website. Ah, well. Perhaps well get a second or expanded volume down the road. In the meantime, this book should be considered essential for movie poster fans. What IS in here is absolutely stunning.
