This brings back some fond memories of Mr. Harold Gautreaux. Some of you may remember him from when he taught school at BHS and when he was Principle of McBride Academy. Mr. Harold and my dad where childhood friends and graduated from BHS in the same class. He was also a jet fighter pilot in the US Marine Corp and Reserves. On the weekends he used to do his reserve duty at Alvin Calendar Field in Belle Chase. Sometimes when he was doing his weekend training he would do a low fly over in his jet fighter over my grandparents house in Port Sulphur. One time he was going a little fast and the boom broke a couple of windows. I remember my grandmother scolding him like he was a little boy the next time she saw him and then she laughed. He was a truly nice man and it was a blessing to have known him.
