This caught my eyes for shore! But the story behind this - TopicsExpress

This caught my eyes for shore! But the story behind this article is, at least poorly documented. I pass in that place - Samuil Micu Street and Ioan Bob street almost every day for the past 5 years and some of the stencils are at least 2 years old. The article features a photo of one particular stencil - Ai coaie? Stai in tara! - done by MindBomb, and first time I came across this stencil was in 2008. This two streets are in the hot-spot of the city. In later years many writers from Cluj or just passing here have put their mark on Cluj-Napoca here. If you want is a must-be-here for tagging, throwing and stenciling. Ive spotted a number of artists - Sin, Sink, DV, ARM, Bao, The Fly, Riot, Blue, Etic, Nab - all with drawings in that place, but I can honestly pledge - there were not singing Che Guevara songs. Cluj-Napoca is somewhere behind Bucharest, Iasi, Timisoara, and even Bacau - in matters considering graffiti and street art. With almost zero tolerance and just few evens that feature this kind of art I feel this article as a reaction to all people involved to give this city a new face. The local administration is - at least in front of the press and public - open to the matter. Still, things are not happening... And the few events that took place this year didt have an echo in the press. This poorly prepared article doesnt reflect the facts. And, what is more important, that Cluj-Napoca will change, and graffiti & street-art is a part of that change.
