This comes from Preemies Today Board member, Audrey Lee. She will be giving a talk tomorrow from a parent perspective to a pharmaceutical company. Okay you guys, I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP. Especially parents with sick kids (or loved ones) and parents of preemies, I’m finalizing some talking points for tomorrow’s speech. I have some questions that I would like your input on. 1. As you negotiate the healthcare system what do you find to be the hardest part of that journey? 2. When you think about all the medical procedures and therapies your children have to go through, can you articulate how accessing or taking their medicines ranks in terms of how much work or energy needs to go into that part of their regimen? (Think nebulizer treatments, etc.) 3. Do you have any trouble every getting a medication? If so, what kind of trouble. 4. What do you think companies could do differently to better meet your needs and expectations (more treatment options, access to medicines, availability, affordability, etc.) 5. Is there a specific final message that you would like to share with the pharmaceutical operations leadership?
