This coming Monday the South Beloit city counsel is going to vote whether to amend the tattoo shop ordinance or not. I have been trying to get it amended so I can finally, hopefully open my doors and support my family the best way I know how. I have been told several reasons why it was put in place, and honestly none of them make too much sense. The most disturbing was that the people who go around those places are trouble and cause problems....I was shocked to hear this. 99 % of my clientele are good, upstanding citizens in their communities. It is 2014 and people still have this attitude about tattooed people. Sure there are bad tattooed people, just like there are bad non tattooed people.....anyway, keep your fingers crossed for Monday night.
