Once upon a time in the kingdom of Bagan, our ancestors would climb up to one of the ancient temples to enjoy the beauty of sunset. Bagan was our first kingdom that unified the regions in a way that they would later constitute our country. I always get this feeling of strange connection with something whenever I set foot on those grounds. Visiting Bagan is a MUST if you ever get to explore Myanmar. And dont forget to visit the Damar Yarzar Thawkha temple because if you are lucky enough, a friendly ancient warriors ghost will show up in your photo. One of the tourists took a pic in front of the temple years ago and a warrior was standing at the back in his photo!
