This coming Saturday I will be taking part in what promises to be - TopicsExpress

This coming Saturday I will be taking part in what promises to be a very emotional, nostalgic, uplifting and inspiring day of singing, as part of a 20-something-year reunion of Central Berkshire Girls Choir. So many happy memories of my youth spent singing, an influential time of musical learning & inspiration, and making some lifelong friends too. We were the founder members of the choir. We toured Norway and America, sang at the top of the Empire State Building (and in the lift on the way up - and down), 30,000ft in the sky in an aeroplane, under Niagara Falls, in tiny churches and huge auditoriums, indoors, outdoors... and discovered Griegs bicycle. All under the legendary and endlessly energetic direction of Gwyn Arch. His musical influence has been a huge impact on my life, and responsible for so many of the musical endeavours I have had the privilege of being part of ever since, whether that be in a band, our amazing zoo choir, accompanying Claremont Singers, arranging music for my trio the Chambermaids, singing with Romsey Singers, helping my own children at the beginning of their own musical adventures, and generally feeding my lifelong love of music and singing. If youre in the Reading area this weekend and youd like to soak up some of this amazing inspiring music and feel uplifted, do come along to Earley St Peters Church Hall at 6pm this Saturday, and witness the legendary Gwyn Arch at work. And us trying to remember as many of the notes and words as possible. I cant wait. :)
