This could indeed be cool! Getting inventions to market is hard. How safe ARE they in conditions that the engineers happened not to think about? How do they wear over YEARS of driving? Will they be cheaper? Safer? More or less environmentally friendly in total? (What does the process of creating the innards look like? How are they disposed of? What is their long term impact on landfills?) How do they perform in rain, in snow, on sand, or any number of goofy places you and I drive our vehicles? Hopes seem high, though!
