This cracks me up! I get a mailer from Some Republican saying do you remember when gasoline was $2.57 ( I use mid grade and I remember it when it was under $1) Well I drive to NY this weekend on the Mass Pike and noticed all these out of Staters at the pumps in the service areas paying that $.24 gas tax helping our State. So this Republican say that this tax is unjustified and will be considered taxation without representation if it automatically adjust to inflation. Let me get this straight, Gasoline prices people were paying at the pump this weekend was $3.55. So $3.55 -( his remember when price) 2.57 =.98 - the gas tax $.24 = .$74. WHERE did this $.74 come from my dear Republican? You got it BIG OIL,the same people shoveling millions and billions to Republican campaign funds to discredit Non Republicans ( Like may good friend Colleen Garry ). Finally, Thanks to those out of Staters for paying this tax so we can fix our roads and bridges.
