This documentary is about the Watson IBMs Artificial Intelligent Computer programmed to understand the Human Speech through the process called machine learning. Even though, watsons processing speed ( 80 Tera FLOPS) is very much less than the Tianhe -2 (Worlds fastest super computer as on date having 35 peta FLOPS speed ), its ability to learn through the experience ( so called machine learning ) like humans is significant step towards developing the Artificial consciousness. But whether Machine consciousness is really possible? Scientist is yet to unlock the mystery of how consciousness is being created in the human brain since we lack the understanding of how our neuron network store and process the information in our brain. Hypothesis is that our mind or consciousness is the aggregate function of neuron network called as NCC ( Neuron Correlates of Consciousness). According to this hypothesis, if we artificially mimic our neuron network in the machine ( like Human Brain Project), machine will also develop its own mind and consciousness like human. Raw Estimate of Human Brains Processing speed is 1 Exa FLOPS which is 30 times faster than current most advanced super computer Tianhe 2. So we are just few years away from making super computer which will process the information like humans. Scientist believe that artificial consciousness in the machine can be developed through the specially developed software like UIMA ( Software developed by IBMs Deep QA Research team for machine learning and Human Speech Recognition). But here comes the Chinese Room Paradox developed by Mr.John Searle which rules out the necessity of Artificial mind or consciousness for the computer to exhibit the intelligent behavior.
