Was taken on Saturday night, sent home. Life altering stroke occurred Sunday morning, ambulance called,when his mother and I got to hospital said CAT scan showed no stroke. I told nurse we knew it was a stroke could they redo CAT scan. Dr decided MRI. This showed major stroke damage with brain swelling. Sent to St Vincent brain surgery,critical care.Researced on web and CAT scans seldom show stroke damage MRI is test needed. Funny thing I had a stroke warning sign from this hospital hanging on my refrigerator. I think maybe if the hospital had given this to the two seperate doctors who were the first defense my family member sought help grom,maybe just maybe they would have recognized the earlier TIAs and prevented the life altering one. Just because they have MD after their name does not make them God.
