This dude calls me in the middle of the night to ask me if I meet the Somali women MPs who are currently in Uganda attending AWEPA ( The Association of European Parliamentarians with Africa) workshop at Africana hotel. Me: yes I met them. Why are you asking? Dude: Nothing much, I Just want to know if you meet the coz (adiga meelha orordo) you are activist and believe in women empowerment, so I wanted to see them if they are meeting the youth. Me: Ok. Dude: By the way, I want you to hook me up with single mother or sugar nanny in those Somali women MPs. Me: are you serious? Man you should think better than that. Dude: Am just joking with you coz I don’t like (Nagaha meelaha orardo, safra oo meela kale soo seexda ) activist women. Me; why you don’t like them? Dude: Coz they are spoiled and they are not marriage type so for me I would never marry those one like you (activists). Me: Really? And then why you called me in the first place to hook you up with them? Dude: Simple he hanged up the phone. Me: Am really shocked and don’t know what to say to such ill-mannered and badly informed guy.
