This evening I drove past a church that had hundreds (if not thousands) of white wooden crosses lined up in its lawn. They were all about a foot tall, as far as I could tell. Impressive display, I thought. And then I thought about all the money it took to purchase all those decorations...and for what? An ambiguous political statement about morality? I couldnt tell. But I do know that the money could have been used to feed and clothe and house the poor. Why not show better politics by showing love and compassion, rather than the nonsense of some useless display? I dont know. I just dont understand this world, I guess. And I think Ill go on not understanding...on purpose.
