This evening I saw two deer roaming around, the sky is partly cloudy and the temperature outside is nice, about 60 degrees. The washer and dryer are running and the house is otherwise quiet. Earlier we had a nice dinner at the local diner with friends. Then a ride around town, just my wife and I. The training for VBS went on at the church. Thank you Lord for such a wonderful day. We will be reading today in Gods Word from: Matthew 4:1-4New International Version (NIV) Jesus Is Tested in the Wilderness 4 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” 4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Lord we gave thanks for the three youth who went to compete in Australia and are now in Hawaii. We pray for the safe return home at the end of the week. We give thanks for the gift of family. Those of blood and those we choose. Lord we ask that you watch over the children that have been sent to our country by their parents. Aid us to do the right thing for them. We give thanks for your bounty and trust that you will give us our needs each day. Lord, please aid us to bring others to you, to the salvation that only you can give.
