This evening, a remarkable young woman spoke to us at the US Emb Youth Council meeting. Maggie Doyne, 27, went on a gap year before heading to college. Whilst in Nepal, she realised she wanted to change the world, and began by paying $7 for a little girl to go to school. Since then, she has built a school and childrens home (paid for with savings of $5k from babysitting and winning a Cosmo Girl competition of $20k). She is the mother to 47 adopted orphans and puts 350 children through school per year. Awesome, like actually awesome.
