This from a local Chico women, Watch out everyone !!! While doing a little shopping this afternoon at TJMAXX, my wallet was stolen from my little yellow purse! It was 75% zipped closed, in my basket with my coat on top. A young Asian man asked my advice on his moms gift & a tall blond woman behind me was looking at things on the shelf near my basket. They left & I continued shopping ,feeling a bit uneasy, but attributed it to the crowds of shoppers. Discovered the wallet missing at check out then made a report to TJMAXX, (we cant do anything & we dont have security but thanks for letting us know) then drove to Chico P.D to report ( we dont do reports here. Go online & file a report there). All credit cards are now closed & bank has been notified but thieves tried making over $15,000.00 in purchases at Best Buy, Target& Starbucks within 15 minutes of stealing the wallet. Having a photo copy of all the cards , (front & back ) made calling them a bit easier so make sure you have a list made. But please most of all, be safe & be aware of your surroundings! Please beware of your surrounding when you are out and about shopping this season. -The Anika Burke Girls
