This gem regarding the UC strike appeared on my newsfeed just now from the UC Berkeley fb page (UCB is my alma mater). Its written by a math prof who doesnt see the connection between the livelihood of UC employees (including their own TAs, which are called GSIs at UCB) and education. What a shame that this prof thinks his/her undergrads education has nothing to do with the ever-increasing inaccessibility of education and growing inequality in general, and yet believes these same students are going to be the ones who somehow save the world (but not by protesting any injustices apparently). And what a shame that UCB fb page thought it was so inspiring as to share it. I give this one a thumbs down.
