Ward 16 Town Hall Meeting City of Kawartha Lakes Ward 16 Councillor Heather Stauble will be holding a Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday, November 27th from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Manvers Arena (upstairs), located at Hwy 7A and Hwy 35. The topics for the meeting will include updates on all proposed wind projects, a presentation on the health research and a report on the recent meeting between the Minister of Energy and Cham Shan Temple. Guests and Speakers: Mayor Ric McGee, City of Kawartha Lakes Carmen Krogh, author & researcher Carmen Krogh has held senior positions at a major teaching hospital; and the Health Protection Branch of Health Canada (PMRA). She was the former Director of Publications and Editor-in-chief of the Compendium of Pharmaceuticals and Specialties (CPS), the book used by physicians, nurses, and health professionals for prescribing information on prescription medication in Canada. She is the author of numerous peer reviewed research articles, including a recent article in “Canadian Family Physician” on adverse health effects of industrial wind turbines.
