This girl was brought to the shelter Friday and we immediately took her to the Ashland Animal Clinic to see what could be done to help. It turns out Hope has demodex AND sarcoptic mange and has been suffering for a long time. Hope had her first medicated dip on Friday and was started on a long list of medications. We knew the shelter was not the best place for Hope to rest and recover while her body heals, so a rescue needed to be found. We sent Hopes picture to our rescue friend Heather Aulick of One By One Animal Advocates and Hope, now know as Mira, is part of the Pitiful Paws Rescue family!
