This guy is just wrong. The vast majority of students are able to learn this; only a few couldnt. Maybe he had bad teachers growing up or was one of the few who just didnt understand? He is selling the insanity of Common Core, without showing the real problems that students have to solve. Good teachers taught the visual math first in the early grades. After that, most students were smart enough not to need the more complicated visuals this guy used. Then the teachers taught the long way to have the students understand the steps. THEN the shortcuts were taught. Thats reality. That is not Common Core. That is not what everyones complaining about. This guy voted for Obama - I can tell because he thinks hes so much better than us. It has meaning because Barrys administration is pushing Common Core to further disrupt the education of our young. Dont fall for this guys insanity.
