This happy go lucky girl is just looking for some new friends....Meet BLONDIE 1 1/2 year old non-spayed female Yellow Lab/American Bull Dog 90 lbs (WE will work with the adopter on her spay - needs to lose at least 20 pounds.) Blondie is an owner surrender as they had to move and the place they moved to decided no dogs. The owners got Blondie from their neighbor. Their dog - American Bulldog got out and had puppies with the other neighbors dog a yellow lab. They have had Blondie since she was 2 months old and was an inside dog but since the move she has been outside. The owners describe her as a young energetic dog that get very excited at first but is only interested in meeting you and playing. (We feel this is because the owners work full time and the only attention Blondie is getting is when she gets fed. Since Blondie is a young dog she needs regular walks to burn off that energy - a tired dog is a good dog.) Blondie loves all toys but her favorite is tennis balls. She is a very happy friendly dog that needs more attention, training and exercise than the current owners can give her. Blondie is crate trained and has some obedience when she was smaller. When we met Blondie she did jump up but it was out of being starved for attention. (She will eventually stop jumping once the excitement wear off and after she is a little tired.) She picks up commands quickly and really wants to please. She knows sit and with a correction collar she will walk well on leash. She loves to go for car rides, she does not have any anxiety when left alone but she may chew on nondog items as she is still a BIG puppy! She has not been around cats but she does get excited when she sees them so a home with no cats would be best. She loves all dogs and just wants to run and play. When we met her there were many dogs around off and on leash and Blondie just wanted to have fun! She is healthy other than needing to lose at least 20 pounds. We want a home that will work with her on this and a home that will continue her training and give her regular exercise. (The adopter needs to ease into the exercise at first as Blondie gets winded quickly.) Blondie wants a home that she will be part of the pack and a home that she can show you Blondes have more fun! She always has a smile on her face - one happy girl. She is located in Petaluma.
