This has NOT been my week when it comes to the streets of NYC.... Tonight, after teaching a few amazing classes, I was struck by a man on a bike going way too fast, in the wrong direction down a one-way street. As I stepped into the crosswalk I looked to make sure there were no cars coming, and after one step fwd I was thrown sideways into a parked car. The guy didnt even look back.... A few people stopped to help me get my bearings, but it makes me SICK that some jerk in a hurry can essentially throw someone into a mass of steel and not even blink. I walked away fairly unscathed with just a sore hip and a few tender ribs thank god..... But its moments like these that really just make me sad. Too often people show such little concern for others, and make it clear that their personal agendas are more important than anyone and anything. Streets of NY = 2 Brookelyn = 0
