This has been an interesting week. Thanks to everyone in Boston that has supported the firefighters fundraiser. We have raised $33,965 on ticket sales for two sold out shows. There are still raffles and t-shirt sales to come too. We started with a lofty goal of $10,000 in total. Now were getting confident and aiming for $40,000. Its been a weird week. Ive heard from complete strangers to estranged ex-girlfriends complimenting me on this endeavor. Im sure Josh has heard from a lot of people too. This isnt about any person. It doesnt matter who had the idea or who organized it or even who is playing. What ultimately matters are the families of those two lost firefighters. This is a showing of a community coming together to help people that will surely be in need. Youve all done right in honoring their memory, extending a hand to their families and showing everyone that local communities still exist in this modern, global world. Kudos, all.
