This has been going around for a while and Ive had a few questions about it... 500 million yrs is way before anything that could be forged into a hammer... we all know that! My question is this... if carbon dating is taking it to that time 500 millions yrs ago, is it most likely caused by a volcano or a comet that displaced the material from that age only a few 100 yrs ago to cover the hammer and bury it in that material that is in fact 500 million yrs old? If my theory is correct that could change carbon dating forever... just curious! LoL
