This is Billy. He struggled to fit in. It seemed that nobody cared about the clarinet. Labeled as a social reject, he went to the downtown blues bar to drink away his sorrows with fanta soda. Sitting there by himself, he heard the sound of Mike Kellys guitar. It whispered sweetly in his ear. Then, it was joined by Todd McClellans bass. It was as if the two instruments were doing an elaborate tango. A chill ran from the base of Billys mullet all the way down to his high tops as Corbett Owens kick drum steadily thumped with the ferocity of a thousand Cherokee war drums!! Sitting there, there completely captivated and lost in the music, he felt a hand on his shoulder. Could it be? No. Is that Steven Middlebrook behind me? He thought. He turned to see this mystery person. It was, in fact, Steven effin Middlebrook!! He said, Billy, youre no reject. Youre a rock star. Dont let anyone tell you different! Put down that fanta, pick up your clarinet, and do work son! And he did! He played that clarinet like some kind of funky priest! For that night, he wasnt a reject at all. He was a man among men. The next day at school, everyone heard about what had happened. Girls began to notice him. They took note of that glorious mullet flowing down his neck like a Kentucky waterfall. Billy graduated first in his class, was elected prom king, and went on to invent the clapper. He married a supermodel and lived happily ever after. This too can happen to you. Middle Ground has returned. In fact, they will be at the downtown blues bar TONIGHT!! Be there... Or be square.
