This is Kiwi, one of the most interesting hogs we have in care. She came in just 200g, with lungworm, roundworm, but also a severe head tilt and apparently no use of her front left leg, when she tried to walk she rolled right over on her left side, and splayed her back legs out behind her trying to walk. Over time we have definitely been seeing improvement, and she can now push herself up on her left shoulder and place her leg correctly and even on a slippery surface uses her back legs in a more normal way, before she loses balance again. It may not look like it but she is starting to change, she is holding her head straight, can curl up normally and she has never been able to get around on the floor before, and after being out for 5 mins running around she walked even better than this :-) She is now over 700g, we will be keeping her on her own just incase she gets picked on. We do not know what the cause of her problems are - a birth issue, or nerve damage, but we will keep her awake all winter to give her a chance to repair, as this is more effective than letting her hibernate. Long term her future is guarded, but she is a happy little soul, she is now in a bigger cage to gain muscle tone, and will eventually be in a large indoor pen, with lots of obstacles and enrichment to get her moving
