This is Moses, 14 months old. We have just got some chickens but Moses my GSP is OBSESSED! He sits whining round the closed coop, even abandoning his beloved and prized tennis ball (utter shock). He once caught a hen when he was about 6 months old, there was a fine line between if it was rough play or i want to bite your head off (it lived) so i do not trust him with the chicks. I would say he is a bit prey driven (mainly birds) but recalls back when chasing so i have complete control. Can i desensitize him to them or will i forever be on chicken watch? There isnt a bad bone in his spotty body but i am aware there is instinct.
