This is Rachel Rose Reese when she was only 3months old. I remember when the test results came back positive for spina bifida and the Doctors sent me to Magees Womens center for another ultra sound so that the Dr there could get a look at ur spine and see if he could confirm if the blood test were correct or not. They tried and tried to get a look at ur spine but they could not because u were tossing and turning and wiggling in there. anyway after they did the ultra sound they sent me to another room to talk to a social worker or such. She started to say that being this baby could possibly have spina bifida that it would be best to terminate the pregnancy. she continued to say how costly it would be to have a baby with such a disability and how hard it would be for me. Even tried to make me feel bad and said that I would only be hurting her if I decided to have her because she would have a very difficult life etc. My mom tried to speak up she was the only other one in the room with us at the time. Hubby could not be there because he had to work. anyway as my mom tried to speak up the social worker or whoever she was told my mom that if she said another word that she would have to leave the room. I had no intentions of aborting my baby. I felt so much pressure from this woman to terminate this pregnancy that I finally said that I could not make a decision like this without talking to my hubby first. I figured I would just stall her and later tell her no that we decided not to go thru with a decision like this.....she said no there is no time to talk to him the sooner u sign the paper the better. the sooner u terminate the better for u and for the baby!! I was shocked how hard she was pressing me to just get rid of my baby. The baby that I have always wanted and prayed for and loved from before she was even conceived. It didnt matter to me if she didnt have all her parts or if she couldnt walk or talk. She was my special little girl and precious gift from God!! She had no right to tell me to abort my child!! My beautiful girl that u see in the picture turned out not to have spina bifida or anything else going on with her for that matter she was perfectly happy and a healthy little girl!! She is now 5yrs old soon to be 6. still healthy and happy and I wouldnt trade her for the world!! If I could only take her now to see that social worker and show her just what she would have convinced and probably had convinced many young girls to do...abort their baby straight from the womb!! Even if this child would of had some problems that doesnt mean we wouldnt love this child that God has given us any less we wouldnt hug her and less and we wouldnt want this child any less!! She was and is a gift from God so social worker lady how Dare U Say terminate what God indeed placed in my womb!! I think about those girls who are all alone and have little or no support that would surely take her up on this right from the start. These ppl arent there to help u my friend they are only making their pockets bigger and could give a hoot if ur baby is healthy or sick. They dont care about u or what happens at all they just want that greedy money that kills the unborn. please think twice before listen to their words just remember the kicks and squirms inside of u and remember that this child was knitted together in ur womb!! praying for u woman that u will see right through the lies and deceit they lay out for you. I LOVE U RACHEL ROSE REESE AND I THANK GOD FOR YOU!! YOU MADE OUR LIVES COMPLETE AND I CANT IMAGINE MY LIFE WITHOUT YOU!!
