This is Senator Brandiss email address and his website. Here is also a letter I sent to his office. Perhaps some of you can find the time to do the same. These criminals need to know what we think of them and their behaviour. These oppressive, unnecessary laws cannot allowed to go thru. My letter: Dear Senator Brandis, I am writing to you to protest the ridiculous overblown security laws you are currently proposing. In the Timor Leste case we have a sovereign country – us – spying on a very poor country (Timor Leste) in order to facilitate commercial advantage to a third party. In this case a corporation. Essentially you plan to have whistle blowers jailed for 5-10 years to cover up amoral, unethical behaviour by our Government. Utterly shameful. I see you spare not a single item in relation to your extraordinary list of qualifications and experience on your website. All that and you still cant distinguish between right and wrong? Perhaps that fabulous library has one or two other books other than Machiavelli? I am utterly ashamed of my government. Never have I been so disappointed to be Australian. Shame on you.
