This is Terry. I wanted to take a moment and share with everyone what went into producing the Collector Edition packs of The First Confessor. I understand there are some of you still waiting to receive your pack and my team is working to address individual problems with shipping as quickly as possible. You have been patient and I thank you for that. You have not and will not be forgotten. First, a few notes regarding what is inside of your pack. The true tally of this production is enormous when you include total man hours involved and the many things that we have set aside while we focused on the collector editions. My support team shipped over 2,900 pounds of boxes, twice, transferred more than 12.1 terabytes of data onto hard disc drives (94.5 hours of transfers), spent a combined 48 hours laser etching, many hours labeling and then re-labeling boxes for shipment, and painstakingly producing more than 300 packs. Laid end-to-end the Collector Edition boxes would measure more than 472 feet in length (almost 39 stories tall). This has been a monumental effort and a tremendous cost. In spite of the many trials and aggravations, youve supported me, my work, and my team and for that I thank you. This pack is for you and it is with deep appreciation, respect, and admiration for you, my readers. We have endeavored to create something worthy of your homes and while we fell far short of getting it to you within a reasonable time, we hope the final result has exceeded your expectations. For those of you still waiting to receive your packs, your continued perseverance is appreciated. For those of you that have received your packages and feel less-than satisfied, please ship your box back to me. Ill refund your purchase and that has always been my promise. For those of you that have received items that were damaged due to carrier handling, we will attempt to replace your items. But please use your discretion when requesting a replacement. We have a limited number of replacement items available and we still have people waiting for their packs to arrive. Also on this point, when we chose the materials for use in this package, we purposefully picked material that had character and were delicate in nature. Like human skin, we wanted the book casing to have flaws and dimension, individuality and personality. The books are not meant to be perfect. They are fragile, unique, and utterly unlike something you could find a store bookshelf. This was by design and we went to great expense and lengths to find the materials we used and, even more difficult, to find the people that could harness those materials in the ways we specified. The Collector Edition was an ambitious project and, with your support, I am proud of what we created. I am not proud of how long it took to ship these packs to you and we are not satisfied with the process overall. If I ever do something like this again, we will take what we have learned from this and the process will be decidedly different from start to finish. Thank you everyone. Sleep well.
