This is VERY TRUE of our profession: pedorthics. People come in with damage to their feet, ankles, knees, and backs. We balance their stance and walking via orthotics and footwear, enabling the body to stabilize at their foundations....voila! Damage no longer controls their lives, though it may take a little time...being gentle with ourselves. Wearing right footwear puts deposits into our health bank account.
