“This is YOUR time. This is MY time. This is OUR - TopicsExpress

“This is YOUR time. This is MY time. This is OUR time.’ Sometimes you just need that little reminder that you can do it! That you have a purpose, and a good old pep talk is one sure way to get you feeling a bit more motivated! With this month’s theme on Doing Life Together, being to challenge ourselves and others to put our faith into action, it has been interesting to see and hear many recent talks and preaches following just that same theme themselves. https://youtube/watch?v=l-gQLqv9f4o This pep talk by “Kid President”, Robby Novak of soulpancake, is also something which I keep close by for when I’m feeling a little overwhelmed and lost. It reminds me that God is at the centre of all things. “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” – Colossians 3:17 I think this video does such a good job of summing up all the fundamental things that we should always be reminding ourselves of. It’s all about moving forward, and forward again in God’s mission of faith on earth. This is life. God made you to live it out; to be part of the team - the all-inclusive God powered team of unity, and start taking our faith out into the world to proclaim God’s great love. Let us not waste this opportunity we have been given, but seize the moment. It’s not necessarily going to be the easy road that you are undertaking. With anyone who has conviction about anything, someone is always going to try and challenge you. However, “if God is with us, then who could ever stop us.” We are God’s earthly vessels to bring his Kingdom to earth and he needs our help. Your help. The world can be changed by ordinary people. The world is changed by you. It’s easy to sit back and leave the changing of the world to someone else; but what if that person is leaving it up to you? “Father GOD, I am often left feeling overwhelmed and drained by the sheer responsibility before me. I cry out to You for my needs. Strengthen me and fill me with Your wisdom. – Samuel 22:33 [It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure.]” – A woman of Faith. When you next feel overwhelmed or alone, just remember: things don’t have to be the way they are. Let us not be passive Christians, but, as Ben Cooley said, we should be building a movement not a monument. Go out and live a life of Christ. Be a witness to your friends, family, people on your course, in your school, in your place of work, wherever you are! because you can make that difference and build into someone’s life. To you, from me. It’s your time to pass it on. Have a great week! Hannah x
