This is a Thylacine, or Tasmanian Tiger or Wolf, the last one died in 1930. Thylacines were marsupials which filled the predator niche on the island of Tasmania...not a wolf, not a tiger...unique and now extinct due to eradication by sheep farmers. Everyday more species disappear than we even knew existed in the rain forests of the world. Scratch the Thylacine from the record...in 100 years no one will ever know they existed..but they did and there were tens of thousands of them on Tasmania....before the arrival of guess who? You guessed it....the English. If there is no one with a conscience present when genocide is being committed, then there is no one to stop it. I wont even bring up the topic of what happened to the aboriginal natives of Tasmania....its too shameful to even discuss. They went the way of the Thylacine, the remainder died of broken hearts or illnesses imported to the island by Europeans. Capitalism prevailed over paradise.
