This is a a shocking amount of money being wasted. We ought to just give the same amount to those who truly need it rather than spend it on idiotic failed website attempts and lining the pockets of corrupt politicians. In MD, AG Gansler has been saying that something did not smell right with the MD Exchange since early last fall and Lt Gov Brown has literately claimed to be in charge, to not be in charge, to share the responsibility with many and has conducted the entire set up behind closed doors (including the recent switch to the Ct plan) while point blank telling reporters NO when they asked if they could ask him about it and telling them not to show him these bills (for the costs associated with the Exchange). But the Maryland press, most of which seems to be owned the parent company of The Sun Herald Tribune, and especially Erin Cox of the same were totally fixated on a teenage beach party and paid no attention to this - or any of the other real issues that the AG has been done huge amounts of work on and which he has a great deal to say. But they do not want to hear it. Muckraking, innuendo, and yellow journalism apparently sell newspapers - and draw television and radio audiences Bona fide coverage and the Fairness Doctrine are too boring and simply do not pay - so what information is the average Maryland voter getting? Next to none - and what they are getting has been biased beyond comprehension - especially in light of national numbers like these. To think that the AG has been given such short shrift when he has in fact been accurate and exercised integrity in bringing these issues to the publics attention, and the press responded and political machine has only responded by targeting the AG - while huge sums of the taxpayers money is apparently being misappropriated and certainly is not being put to the use it was intended to be used for - and greedy computer people, health insurers, and corrupt politicians are in cahoots to line their own pockets with what was intended to money to benefit all and to make sure that even the very poorest amongst us gets adequate humane care which is the minimum a society as developed as ours ought to be able to provide for each and every one of its citizens causes me such agita - I am indignant. politico/story/2014/05/obamacare-cost-failed-exchanges-106535.html $474M for 4 failed Obamacare exchanges POLITICO Nearly half a billion dollars in federal money has been spent developing four state Obamacare exchanges that are now in shambles — and the final price tag for salvaging them may go sharply higher. Each of the states — Massachusetts, Oregon, Nevada and Maryland — embraced Obamacare, and each underperformed. All have come under
