This is a beautiful tribute to Puppy Doe! (NECN) - Sunday, Connecticut-based toy manufacturer, Herobuilders, announced plans to design an as exact as possible custom figurine of the puppy America now knows as Puppy Doe. Quincy crime writer, Sandra Lee, was informed of the plan. A little over four months ago, the pup was found after having endured repeated torture by its owner. The figurines will be produced in a limited quantity. Just 2,000 will be released. Each will measure at four inches in height an be priced at $29.95. Every Figurine will be cast in resin, hand-molded and hand-painted right here in Oxford, Connecticut, USA. said Emil Vicale, founder of Herobuilders. For those of you that are not aware of what happened to Puppy Doe: She was rehomed on Craigslist two different times, the third owner who got her off Craigslist for $40.00 heaped terrible abuse and torture on Puppy Doe! Internet users have united to get justice for a dog so brutally tortured that she had to be euthanized. On Aug. 31, a female pit bull was found on Carrolls Lane in Quincy, Mass., dumped near a playground, unable to walk, according to Bostons Animal Rescue League, or ARL. The dog, who was likely 1 to 2 years old, weighed half what she should have. She had suffered starvation and abuse sadistic in nature, including stabbings to the eye and a sliced tongue. Her injuries were so severe that she had to be euthanized. Veterinarians working on the animal, named Puppy Doe, were sickened by her state. “They’re a freak, a total freak,” Dr. Martha Smith-Blackmore, who performed the autopsy on the tortured pup, told Bostons WBZ of the alleged abuser. “Splitting her tongue like a serpent, burning her nose, stabbing her eye, almost every bone in her body had been broken, she was drawn, it’s the totality of the types of injuries. Not only was she beaten, she was stabbed [and] she was burned. Its all kinds of injures. It’s a sick mind that can do this to an animal.” m.huffpost/us/entry/3975506/
