This is a must read. The new free trade agreement called (TPP) Trans-Pacific Partnership is the latest sucker-punch to the American middle class and economy. Like NAFTA-- it is a job killer for American domestic productivity. Jobs are disappearing and wages are stagnant. These international trade agreements are giveaways to corporations that gut and undermine the American economy at home. We CAN engage in globalization and international trade without selling out the middle class and American workers. We must change the way we enter these trade agreements. Moreover, the way Obama wants to fast-track this legislation without transparency and congressional oversight is suspect. Please contact Blake Farenthold and/or your Congressman to find out where they stand on the TPP. Ask them to stand on the side of American workers and American jobs at home, not fast tracked slick deals that benefit the CEOs and corporations. Americans deserve better than the continued shallow promise of cheap imported goods for our families. We want real jobs here, in our cities, for our families, owned by American people.I am sick and tired of the false claims of untrained workers and the fabricated excuses for exporting our jobs. We can still produce the highest quality and innovative products in the world--but we need a government that invests in the American people, not higher profits for the few that never come home.
