This is a new song Ive recently completed with my friend and collaborator Martin Beal. Dancin Girl, came about one night when I went to the Cinema Bar in Culver City, CA to see a favorite Americana band called I See Hawks In L.A. There was a young lady who was enjoying the show seemingly all by herself who I was inspired by to write this song. The artist of this painting is a friend of my wife and I visiting from Germany named Petra Wittek who made this a gift to me.
