This is a no shitter...my ship went to fleet week in NYC. We were required to watch the CCTV presentation on hookers and STDs. They said any one could go to medical for free condoms. As LPO I felt is was my job to protect my crew. After chow and before MAN THE RAIL I walked into medical. The senior female in medical walked up to me and asked what can I do for you. I said I want 21 Condoms. After she got over the initial shock of my request she says...its none of my business but why. I told her I didnt want any of my guys to not have one because they were embarrassed to come ask for them themselves. She said Ok and said I will be right back. Several minutes later she returned with a brown paper nag with 21 condoms in it. As my spaces were in the security trunk, guarded by Marines, I had to get permission from the Sargent of the Guard to carry the condoms to W-3 and hand them out to my guys. He didnt even bat an eyelash. Permission granted. The division mustered for uniform inspection before MAN THE RAILS and liberty. I told them I dont care what you do with them, use them, give them away, throw them away but no one was leaving with out 3 of them.
