This is a post from a friend with a lot of good info. Thank you Jim Nuziard for this work. Heres for all the Democrats too mentally lazy to do their own research. I took it upon myself to do it for them. Im dumping valuable information right in your laps. Lets see who is courageous enough to read it. A History of Racism By Jim Nuziard 4-6-13 As my favorite president Ronald Reagan once said, “It’s not that our liberal friends are ignorant, it’s just that they know so much that isn’t so.” Personally, it’s not a liberal’s ignorance that frustrates me. It’s their arrogance. An ignorant man with a humble heart can learn something and not be ignorant anymore. An arrogant man can’t be taught anything. I’m not so arrogant that I feel I can’t learn something from someone else. I have liberal friends who have areas of expertise that I try and draw from. Do I get that same respect in my areas of expertise in politics, history, and economics? Don’t make me laugh! It’s liberal arrogance that would tell another man when he’s made enough money, or what to do with the money he has. It’s liberal arrogance that would tell someone what kind of a gun, or how many rounds they need for that gun. It’s liberal arrogance that would tell someone what kind of a car they need. I believe that liberalism is from the pit of hell. Liberals are constantly bearing false witness, and making unsubstantiated accusations against conservatives. Proverbs 3:30 says, “Do not accuse a man for no reason-when he has done you no harm” (NIV) One of the names of Satan in the scriptures is the accuser; “who accuses them before our God day and night”. Rev. 12:10 (NIV) And that’s how liberals are. Republicans have a “war on women”. They’ll put old people out in the streets. If you vote Republican, another black church is going to burn. Or the church that the president and his family visited on Easter Sunday where what passes for a “reverend” mentioned that the religious right wants blacks to go to the back of the bus, and that they want women back in the kitchen. These are all false accusations that they can’t back up with a shred of truth. But the one I’d like to use as a springboard was made several months ago by Joe Biden to a group of black supporters speaking about Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan when he said, “They’ll put y’all back in chains”. Comments like these are made by people who know so much that isn’t so, as Reagan said. Biden seems to forget who it was that took the chains off. The Republican Party has always been the party of abolition, while the Democrat Party--not so much. The Republican Party was established in 1854, mainly to combat The Kansas Nebraska Act, which threatened to extend slavery. In 1856, John C. Fremont was the first Republican candidate to run for president. Part of the party platform was “free men”. It wasn’t until 1860 that the first Republican would win the White House. His name… was Abraham Lincoln. It was President Lincoln who signed the Emancipation Proclamation announcing that blacks would forever live in freedom. The 13th Amendment was passed by Republican leadership outlawing slavery before the end of the Civil War. President Andrew Johnson, a Democrat, vetoed the bill. The Republican Congress overrode his veto, and went on to pass the 14th Amendment, which naturalized the children of black slaves and gave blacks equal protection under the law, and the 15th Amendment, which gave blacks the right to vote. Democrats voted against these measures, as well as civil rights legislation in the 1800s. A group of Democrats, known as the Ku Klux Klan, began to intimidate blacks, which is what led to the passage of the 15th Amendment to protect blacks voting rights. The KKK, who became known as the “terrorist wing of the Democrat Party,” actually killed more whites than they did blacks. The real purpose of the KKK was to coerce people to joining the Democrat Party. In the 1994 movie Forrest Gump, you recall that Forrest was named after an ancestor named Nathan Bedford Forrest, who was an actual historical figure, a Lieutenant General during the Civil War, and was the first Grand Wizard of the KKK. And yes, Nathan Bedford Forrest was… a Democrat. In 1948, a white supremist segregationist party broke off from one of the two major parties. It was called the Dixiecrat Party. I’ll give you a hint which party it broke off from. It ends in “crat”. I can remember Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA) bellering how President Bush would return us to the days of Jim Crow. Well, it was the Democrats who after taking control of Southern legislatures in the early 20th Century during the Woodrow Wilson Administration, who passed Jim Crowe laws imposing segregation and disenfranchising black voters from voting, as well as many poor white voters. To think, they’re also known as the “party of the little guy!” An example of the racist groups that the Democrat Party gives us today would be the New Black Panthers who had charges of voter intimidation after the 2008 election when members brandished night sticks to intimidate white voters in Philadelphia. The case was dropped by the Obama Justice Dept. under the direction of Atty. Gen. Eric Holder. Former President, Bill Clinton, identified J. William Fulbright as being his “mentor”. Fulbright was a known segregationist who was a signer of the Southern Manifesto, which was an attempt to counter a Supreme Court ruling that determined that segregation of schools is unconstitutional in a case known as Brown vs. Board of Education. No Republican would have survived charges of racism for crediting such a man as being his mentor. But, for the beloved Clinton; not a problem. Sen. Robert Byrd (D-WV) served in the Senate for about fifty years until his death in 2010. In the 40s, Byrd began a new chapter of the Ku Klux Klan serving as a leader and recruiter. In 1946, he wrote the following note to a US Senator. “I shall never fight in the armed forces with a negro by my side ... Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds.” —Robert C. Byrd, in a letter to Sen. Theodore Bilbo (D-MS) Byrd is the man whom Democrats referred to as “the conscience of the Senate”. Famous black civil rights leaders such as Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm (X) Little, and Rosa Parks were all Republicans. King and Little’s assassins, James Earl Ray and Talmadge Hayer AKA: Thomas Hagan, were Democrats. One of the Democrats King fought against was the Birmingham Public Safety Commissioner, Eugene “Bull” Connor, who turned vicious dogs and fire hoses against black civil rights demonstrators. Democrat governor of Georgia, Lester Maddox used axe handles to prohibit blacks from entering his restaurant. Here’s a video of Malcolm X referring to black Democrats as “political chumps” and “race traitors”. youtube/watch… Last year, Congressional Black Caucus Chairman, Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO), speaking about the 15% unemployment rate in the black community said, “If Obama were white we’d be marching on the White House”. Obama’s own Labor Dept. reports that unemployment among black teens is over 40%. Sounds to me like black Democrats are still “political chumps”. President John F. Kennedy is known for “civil rights”. But while in the Senate, Kennedy voted against the 1957 Civil Rights Act. It was Kennedy’s brother, Robert F. Kennedy, while serving as Atty. Gen., who wiretapped the home of Martin Luther King Jr. attempting to undermine him by portraying him as a Communist. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 would never have passed without Republican support. Sen. Richard Russell (D-GA) led a filibuster to prevent the bill’s passage. Sen. Russell said, “We will resist to the bitter end any measure or any movement which would have a tendency to bring about social equality and intermingling and amalgamation of the races in our Southern states.” Al Gore’s father, Al Gore Sr., voted against the Civil Rights Act. Today’s Black Democrats, completely unable to compete in the marketplace of ideas, refer to their conservative counterparts as things like, Oreos, Uncle Toms, or house Negros. They believe that it is the Republican Party that is racist because liberals know so much that isn’t so. So why is it that about 90%-95% of blacks identify themselves as Democrat today? I don’t know. Maybe they long for the days of picking cotton on the plantation!
