This is a short message to my friend and my malay friend. I would like to share the meaning of the word " Char Kway Teow" Recently i came across this word in Warung where this word " Char Kway Teow " is copy from Penang famous " Char Kway Teow " So.. for boosting up one warung business they will display " Char Kway Teow " and make it a new item in the stall/Warung. Actually the word " Char Kway Teow " Means "Kway Teow Goreng" In Hokkien Dialect we call " Char Kway Teow" which bring the same meaning of friend Kway Teow ( Kway Teow Goreng in BAHASA MELAYU ) so please my friend.. dont because of the word " Char Kway Teow " and you think is a special dish. is actually just a term for kway teow goreng. Below story is very interesting...... We went to this warung at wakaf beruas on the way from padang Midin to the town.. the shop name called Kedai Makan *-Turn. so my friend tell me.. hey the " Char kway Teow " not bad... so we order it.. guess WHAT!! come out it is totally soup up like soup kway teow in malay we calles ( kway teow sup ) but then is ok since i order then fine i eat it. at last when i reach home i end up vomiting everything out.. dont know what the hell happen to me and i think bcoz of the oily soup from the " Char Kway Teow " end of my story.. I would like to say again... Hokkien Dialect - Char Kway Teow = Kway Teow Goreng Mandrine Language - Chao Guo Teow = Kway Teow Goreng English Language - Friend Kway Teow = Kway Teow Goreng Thai Language - Kway Teow Phat = Kway Teow Goreng and all above mention dish are all KWAY TEOW GORENG!! and it suppose to be DRY!!
