This is a shout out to my fellow musicians that might be interested in playing a really special event alongside me on the evening of Thursday July 24. My new friend Luke Phifer asked me for his help putting together a little show for about 85 kids at a special camp young folks that are suffering from hemophilia. Because of their condition, they arent able to play sports, go to a typical summer camp and even rock out like your average American kid. This is a special opportunity for these yutes. The camp is up near Gold Bar on Highway 2, so my talented friends in Seattle and Bellingham could both potentially participate. The show Luke is hoping to put together is a performance that comprises of a band covering some appropriate, but nonetheless bad ass covers that kids can sing along with. Hes got some Oasis, Tom Petty, Queen, and Jimi Hendrix on the list, and hes totally open to other songs based on what musicians know and love. The idea that I proposed, since there isnt that much time to prepare and rehearse a band, is to put together a really fun all star crew, including possibly a few Staxx Brothers, and folks we love and would love to work with. There is a little budget for expenses like sound and travel, etc. So Luke can make an undertaking like this possible, professional, and productive for anyone investing their time in this. Im trying to participate in as many causes like this as I can, and this a great cause that 85 kids from across the state of Washington are going to never forget and brag about for a long time. ...the question is, whos down to join this SOUL ARMY. https://facebook/bdfwa
