This is a story about our JUSTICE system! I really hate to share - TopicsExpress

This is a story about our JUSTICE system! I really hate to share negative posts, but heres one that I feel is necessary! If youve ever been party to a lawsuit which ended up in court or if youve been on a jury, Im sure you assumed the system was fair. I have a story to tell you that shows that what we think is not always true! And since this is now my story, I want you to know how sad and disheartened I have become with our JUSTICE system after continuing the fight for my husbands cause that started in 2007! Before Ed died in 2010, he had made me promise that if anything happened to him, I would carry on his fight. My fight is unfortunately nearing the end and to my dismay its NOT going to come out in my favor! Rather than tell you the story myself, Im going to share an article written by the person who was SUPPOSED to be our chief witness. This man was not only a wonderful person, but he is an authority on archaeology and is the author of numerous published writings on the subject. In other words, he is a very credible source! As you read the article, keep in mind that NO signed document of any kind exists showing a transfer of ownership of the LOW ADENA TABLET to the OHIO HISTORICAL SOCIETY in 1971! It had been left with them for research and study and since there was no place in Parkersburg, WV to display it, was left in their care for that purpose. Ed felt it was important for the public to have access to it. Not only is there no DEED OF GIFT or otherwise LEGAL DOCUMENT, my husband was not even given an appraisal of this so-called gift! In 2007, Ed became aware of the existence of the BLENNERHASSETT ISLAND MUSEUM which is in close proximity to where he had found the Adena Tablet! He decided he would like to transfer it back to its home. The historical society, after displaying it for 36 yrs. unfortunately would not agree to the transfer. It was not until AFTER a lawsuit was filed in 2009 that it was disclosed that this Adena Indian Tablet dated to approx. 400 to 1000 B.C. and has an appraised value up to $200 thousand dollars. It is so rare that it is considered PRICELESS! Gee, I wonder why in 1971 the historical society wouldnt have wanted him to know how rare and valuable his little stone tablet was? Hmmmm!!!!! The purpose of this background story of the tablet is to help you understand why there is a lawsuit in the first place. Now on with James Murphys eye-opening article, MY FIVE MINUTES IN A WITNESS PROTECTION PROGRAM. PLEASE READ! https://kb.osu.edu/dspace/bitstream/handle/1811/51767/1/lowfinal.pdf
