This is a very important article...and I think that this newspaper is very objective... The authorities in Bucharest accused of barbarism towards the stray dogs The Mayor rares Manescu ( Sector 6 ) condons the anti European actions of his employees. Grave accusations against the dog catchers and the employees from the Town Hall Sector 6 Bucharest. There will be protests in 500 European towns. Penal complaints at the European Court of Justice. The signal from Prime Minister Ponta : A propagandistic lie. Grave accusations At the end of last week, in Bucharest, especially in Sector 6 , a serie of inbelievable events for an European country, took place. Friday, March 21, a cohort of dog catchers escorted by Geandarmes and employees from the Sector 6 Town Hall, entered in a private shelter belonging to Vier Pfoten , they vandalised the kennels and took all the dogs. Vier Pfoten issued a press release with images where bleeding dogs could be seen dragged with the catchpoles and thrown one on top of the other in ASPAs cages. We have to mention that the legislation in force BANS these brutalities. The dog catchers broke the lockers and vandalised Vier Pfotens kennels on ADP Sector 6 during an illegal action ordered by ASPA, with the apporval of Sector 6 Town Hall and protected by the local Police. All 90 dogs, including 15 dogs belonging to Vier pfoten where sterilized, registered and microchipped, and the vaste majority where already adopted and were about to leave to join their future owners - based on the official statement of the organization. Representatives of VP have also complained that Saturday, their activists were not allowed in the ADPs Sector 6 yard to retrieve their belongings which were taken by ASPA. ADP sector 6 banned the access to the place with the Security firm Drumeatul Guard. Based on the infomrations we have, the activists filed in complaints with the Police. Rares Manescus employees entered on private properties too The events at the VP shelter were not singural. Thursday, ( in the same Sector 6 ) ASPA dog catchers took a few dogs who were in a fences area on a provate zone belonging to some apartment buildings, dogs taken care off by several families. All the dogs were sterilized, microchipped and with all documents updated. Moreover, they could not have had the possibility to end up on the streets because the fence was high enough and because the LAW allows one dog on the priva space belonging to a building with the approval of 50% of those living in that building. The dog catchers intervened in force and al old lady suffered a mild heart attack. A few days before, exactly in the same place, employees from ADP Sector 6 and Police went and took by force the dog houses of those dogs living actually on a private space. We have to mention that those dogs were in the care of the residents for years and since they set a special place for them, they never went on the street again. We are curious to see how will Rares Manescu ( Mayor Sector 6 ) justify the anti-European actions of his employees. We talk about those employees from ADP Sector 6 known mostly from their absence and by the ugliest green spaces in the entire Bucharest. Protests in 50 European cities What happened in the last few days in Bucharest toured the entire Europe already. Several NGOs have announced that in May there will be huge protests in 500 cities because authorities in Romania and especially in Bucharest break the law in force. Crimes against dogs will be the focus of the protests. Even more, for each person responsible for massacres there will be complaints filed at the European Court of Justice. Attention, the protests and the complaints are not only the events in Bucharest. There is a very impressive file regarding the way the Romanian authorities manage the problem of stray dogs. We can remind you the accusations made by a delegation of the European Parliament regarding Mr. Sorin Oprescus failure to follow a promise made to the EU officials. Based on the information received from abroad, there will be also penal complaints about corruption regarding the management of stray dogs. Until then, Romanias image in Europe has a lot to suffer because of local officials, iresponsible and many NGOs ask the tourists in their countries to boycott Romania. „Semnalul” premierului, o minciună propagandistică „marca” Ponta The Prime Ministers signal, a propaganda Ponta style On Sept.30, 2013, Prime Minister Ponta gave the following declaration : There are two phase prior to the euthanaisa : the adoption phase and the sterilization phase and keeping the dogs in shelters. I would like, if we are a civilized country, to use the first two as much as possible. These are my message and my signal. I would not be proud to live in a country where animals are massacred. A few days before this statement, Ponta also said, at the opening of a Government meeting : Euthanasia is the last phase allowed by the law, because there are the alternatives with the shelters and the adoption of the four legged . What can we conclude 6 months after these declarations . Nothing. Prime Minister Ponta forgot ( and it is not the first time ) what he said although he should have acted upon. What the Prime Minister should do - dismiss Razvan Bancescu ( because Sorin Oprescu did not do it ), the ONLY official who declared publicly that he will not obey the law, letting us believe that he does not care if there will be penal complaints against him ; - send a financial control, or any other agencies to verify the use of ASPA funds; - send the financial controllors to verify how did they come up with 220lei for the capture of one dog ; - react at the numerous internal and international signals regarding the dezastrous way in which the law is applied and regarding the barbaric methods, anti Europeans, ASPA uses with the blessing of the same Razvan Bancescu and some other Mayors in Bucharest and in the entire country. The games used by Antena 3 and Romania TV It is well known that Antena 3 has ignated a real hysteria against the stray dogs when the tragedy with the 4 year old child ( Ionut) happened - sustaining - but without ever presenting any clear evidence , although there are a lot of question marks and contradictory statements - sustaining that he died mauled by dogs on a private property near Parcul tei. Well, by reasons unknown by us, Antena 3 continues to maintain this hysteria and when more incidents are presented , they use manipulatory titles ( even if, ultimately, the news are presented almost correctly ) here you have an example : A 3 year old killed by dogs this was the title which could be red on a news banner for hours. How was the news presented by Antena 3 ? A little girl from Galati was found between life and death by her parents after she was bitten by dogs. Apparently they were not stray dogs, but animals in the proximity of their house . Romania TV is not far behind, and continued to maintain the hysteria, presenting the news incorrectly in incidents involving dogs. Another child desfigured by dogs ...could be red for hours on their news banner . Only later on the correct news appeared : a child wentured in the neighbors yard to the kennel of a tethered dog and hit the dog on the muzzle with a piece of wood. The dog reacted and bit her in the face. Such and incident is not even news. But good enough to manipulate. Which they did. One question arises : did they start this real hysteria only for ratings? Evidently, we do not have an amswer , but it is hard to believe that they tried to attract audience on such tragedies and incidents. because Romania is divided in two on the issue of stray dogs and they run the risk to lose viewers. The naswer should be looked for in other parts and there are some suspicions that some interests are in place ( Antena 3 keeps on promoting Razvan Bancescu for almost one year. Maybe when a serious investigation into ASPA will be done, we will find more. A manipulation done by the auhtorities In many occasions, The Generla Mayor of Bucharest, and the boss from ASPSA - Razvan Bancescu maintained - even before the capture of dogs begun- that in Bucharest there are a bit more than 65,000 stray dogs. because many voices contested these affirmations, Sorin Oprescu implicated the SRI ( Romanian Intelligence Service ) which confirmed through a Press Conference that indeed there are about 65,000 stray dogs in Bucharest. These are our calculations which can proove the manipulations - 65,000 dogs : 5,430 streets = 12,1 câini for each street in Bucharest 65,000 dogs at 1,821 km ( the total km of streets ) 35,6 for 1 km in Bucharest Anybody can realise how inflated this numbers offered by officials are and one question arises : what is behind this misinformation ? Could it be a business with fictitious dogs ? cotidianul.ro/primarul-rares-manescu-gireaza-actiuni-antieuropene-ale-angajatilor-sai-234564/
