This is a very old cookie recipe and best I have ever tasted and trust me, I have tasted a few in my 45yrs....Here goes. 4 sticks butter 2 cups white sugar 4 cups flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 2 teaspoons vinegar cream butter and sugar....Mix flour, soda,& vinegar use parchment paper to line cookie sheets... Roll into small balls...Now find a glass with a pattern on bottom and put into sugar and use to flatten down cookie balls....bake 8-10 minutes at 350....you now have beautiful cookies that melt in our mouth..Cool on rack and store in air tight container....
