This is a video just posted on a Yahoo Group Im in, which is exclusively for personnel formally assigned to a United State Air Force base near Bitburg, Germany. I was there during the German Occupation from the Second World War. The video was taken in 2012. There are still buildings, old streets, the flight line, etc., at the former air base, none of which I have seen since leaving there, even in still photos posted by members of The Group. The base was turned over to the German people some time after I left. At about the 1:14 timeline in the video, on the left is where I worked, mainly, and on the right is the barracks I was housed in when at the Base. I thought there may be those on FB that would enjoy the video. My family is seeing this for the first time, also. I would like to go back for a visit sometime. There is a building that has been customized and is now a hotel right on the former base, and hotels in Bitburg, which is located not too far from Luxembourg It would be nice.
