This is a video of one of the leaks from a Sydney Water mains - TopicsExpress

This is a video of one of the leaks from a Sydney Water mains under our driveway. I told them about the leak approximately 10 weeks ago. I had to follow them up about 5 weeks ago as they didnt get back to me after digging up our concrete steps and leaving them strewn across the council strip. I was told they were fixing it that weekend, even though they hadnt notified anyone that they were cutting water off to a large part of Picton. What a joke, but it never happened. Now the leak has intensified and is now springing from three different places under our driveway. The bitumen on the side of the road is lifting and now were left with a boggy mess. Im sure its becoming some form of hazard for drivers but certainly for anyone walking along the side of the road at night. The postal officer has slipped in the bog and fallen over while delivering our mail, injuring herself. Ive slipped backwards and fallen over. It hurts. The bog has now extended for 3 or 4 houses, depends how hot it is. Our neighbours are selling their property and had an open house last weekend. Everyone had to walk through the bog to get to their driveway. Imagine how well that goes down when youre trying to sell a house. Were renovating and have trucks going up our drive every week. The bog is getting sloppy and Im worried were going to fall into a giant sink hole in the not too distant future. Im not kidding, sink holes in Sydney have been attributed to leaky mains before. What the bloody hell does one have to do to get it fixed!!! Suggestions folks… (Oh, and if water is coming out then what on earth is leeching in through this hole and going through the pipes into our drinking water). Feel free to share if you know someone of influence in Sydney Water or its owner, the State Government. I dont have time to waste talking to an operator who doesnt know whats going on.
