This is a visual demonstration of many ‘institutions of learning’ (and of course of institutional settings) situations – ‘every’ position must be evaluated on an individual basis – simply because one is on the ‘team’ or ‘in management’ or ‘union member’ or any other such designation that identifies a ‘group’ endeavor (some examples to consider: congress – courts – police – doctors – care givers) – teaching is an honorable profession – it is not a job with ‘equal opportunity’ protection – everyone who is qualified must be given an equal opportunity to apply – however equal opportunity must never be the criteria for ‘job security’ – I belong to one of the nation’s largest unions – I support union advocacy against unfair labor practice – what I ‘do not support’ are members who think their jobs should be protected even if they are non-productive yet receive the same benefits of those members who are productive – do not support non-productive members in any group (see above examples and more) – ‘some’ students want to learn – ‘some’ teams want to win through a team effort – there are some good people in some misguided groups: ‘some’ good congress members – ‘some’ good judges – ‘some’ good police – ‘some’ good doctors – ‘some’ good care givers – and yes ‘some’ good teachers – but simply because one belongs to an honorable ‘group’ - does not indicate that because the ‘group’ is honorable - that every member of that group is honorable – therefore it is a disservice for the group to allow the dishonorable members to remain in that group – united does not mean that those united for an honorable cause must carry and protect the dishonorable among them – so let us ‘clean out the culls’ from among them – do not allow them to ‘retire’ with benefits they received from belonging to a group in which they do not produce to achieve the goal of the group – voters listen up – politicians listen up – police listen up – teachers listen - and all the rest that are hiding within an honorable group that bring dishonor and shame to those honest hard working producing men and women among us
