This is a write up (bit abridged by me ) by Ashwani Sharma in response to a post..... The problem is not with ordinary Muslims. Many of my friends and colleagues are peace-loving Muslims. By and large all Muslim brothers who DO NOT strictly follow Quran and who DO NOT go to mosques on Fridays for prayers and who offer their prayers in their homes/offices etc are decent peace-living folks. The problem is in Quran and Imams sermon (KHUTBA) after Friday prayers in the mosques. Quran is probably the only religious book that exhorts its followers to KILL, RAPE, LOOT & PLUNDER and the Friday sermons (in some mosques) are the only holy discourses that beseech and urges the Muslims to protest against some imagined wrongs done to them or for (Islam Khatre me hai!) to go out and create riots and finally to kill non-believers by suicide bombings. It is no coincidence that ALL RIOTS INVOLVING MUSLIMS ANYWHERE IN THE KNOWN UNIVERSE ALWAYS OCCUR ON FRIDAY AFTERNOONS. It does not require rocket science to answer this question. Muslims are exhorted and commanded to go and kill non-believers during Friday sermons. Thus the masjid and mulla controls muslim mind. The only way for ordinary, moderate and peace-loving Muslims to assimilate with world community (universal brotherhood) is to REFORM their religion including Quran. If it is too much for them then at least put well educated and liberal minded people as maulavi of a mosque.Unfortunately, the Wahabbi Muslim clergy will never allow any reform in Islam because if Islam is reformed, Wahabbist Muslim clergy would become irrelevant. Hence Sudhir ji, Muslims can only be part of any Brotherhood (except TERROR BROTHERHOOD) if they reform their religion and themselves. Will the Arab kings ever let go the enormous power the hold to manipulate the muslim population the world over ?, even at the enormous sufferings of a common muslim??
